Rich Fruit Cake Championship
Rich Fruit Cake Champions Semi-Finals will be held at a nominated Show in each Association.
The 10 Association Winners will be eligible to compete in the State Final held at the Royal Adelaide Show on Thursday, before the show opens.Where an Association winner cannot partake in the State Final, the runner up of the particular Association Semi-Final will be invited to participate in the State Final.

Semi-Finals:
- 1st prize – $60
- 2nd prize – $25
- 3rd prize – $10
State Championship:
- Champion – $300
- 2nd prize – $100
- 3rd prize – $50
The semi-final winner will be eligible to compete in the State Final. State Finalists are presented with a bottle of St Agnes Brandy, sponsored by ANGOVES, and other ingredients, sponsored SUNBEAM.
Genoa Cake Competition
The Genoa Cake Competition Semi-Finals will be held at a nominated Show in each Association.

- There is to be no restriction on the ingredients used.
- As a general guideline the Genoa Cake should contain sultanas, currants, cherries and almonds.
- Cake to remain un-iced.
- Cake may be decorated with almonds.

CWA / Laucke Scone Competition

Competition Outline
- Best variation of the nominated scone recipe using Laucke Country Women’s Scone Mix
- Savoury and Sweet scones are alternated for competitions. – 2023 Spring / 2024 Autumn: savoury (State Final at the 2024 Royal Adelaide Show) – 2024 Spring / 2025 Autumn: sweet (State Final at the 2025 Royal Adelaide Show)
- Only one entry per person, no entry fee
- Entrants are only eligible to win one local final
- Winners from each local show to be eligible to enter and be judged at the nominated association semi finals.
- The 10 association winners will then compete in the State Final judged at the Royal Adelaide Show on Friday, before the show opens.
Judging Guidelines
- 5 scones to be presented for judging
- Scones should be approximately 5cms in diameter
- Well risen, straight sides, thin golden crust top and bottom, no flour base
- Fine, moist texture, good crumb, good flavour and according to type

• Winners from each local show to be eligible to enter and be judged at the nominated Association event.
